Customisable waste treatment plant processes

Depending on the nature of the sewage your organisation produces or available space, Azure & Green can equip your customised sewage waste treatment plant with different treatment processes. These include:

 Moving Bed Bio-Reactors

Uses small plastic carriers that move freely within the tank. Bacteria grow on the large surface area of these carriers, breaking down organic waste in the wastewater.  Offers simplicity, efficiency, and ability to handle fluctuating wastewater loads.

 Membrane Bio-Reactors

Combines traditional biological treatment with a membrane filtration process.  The membranes act as a physical barrier, removing very fine particles and bacteria from the treated wastewater, resulting in a high-quality effluent.  Ideal for situations requiring a very clean effluent or with limited space for treatment facilities.

 Extended Aeration

This process makes use of activated sludge.  Air is pumped into the wastewater tank, encouraging the growth of bacteria that break down organic matter.  Offers reliability and simplicity, but may require a larger footprint compared to some other technologies.

 Sequential Batch Reactor

This flexible system combines all the stages of wastewater treatment (clarification, aeration, settling) in a single tank, but in sequential batches in the same tank. Well-suited for treating wastewater with fluctuating volumes and a more efficient use of space.

 Submerged Aerated Fixed Film

This process uses fixed media (often plastic structures) submerged in the wastewater tank.  Bacteria colonise the surface of this media, breaking down organic matter as the wastewater flows past.  Offers treatment efficiency and ability to handle high organic loads.

Containerised Sewage Treatment Plant Solutions

This can be a game-changer for temporary locations that require wastewater treatments, allowing for the easy transportation of an entire sewage treatment system from one site to another.

The primary treatment, biological treatment, settling and tertiary treatment is situated with a single container, depending on the capacity you have selected, though please be advised that a separate container may be necessary for tertiary treatments.

These have a broad range of uses, but are particularly suitable for:

  • Mobile worker camps
  • Temporary industrial sites
  • Construction sites
  • Sites with spatial constraints (As containers can be stacked)
  • Temporary treatments while municipal plants are being upgraded
  • Municipal wastewater treatment (Permanent and temporary)
  • Refugee camps
  • Military Camps
  • Offshore facilities

Our standard container sizes are as follows:

  • 20ft container
  • 40ft container
  • 20ft high cube container
  • 40ft high cube container
